12 YEARS OF ADVENTUROUS MUSIC !
Numusic is based on the west coast of Norway in Stavanger, home to some of the world’s most beautiful fjords, mountains and coastal scenery. A small but culturally dynamic city turned into an international center of urban culture during a ten day 50+ act event.
Numusic’s 12th edition is set with an international line up of some of the world’s leading proponents of new and adventurous music as well providing a dynamic platform for local, national and international emerging talent.
Since its very first edition, the Numusic Festival has distinguished itself as an international meeting point for original, progressive and avant garde programming. In terms of content, the festival’s range strives to be diverse, with interests in both the experimental and the playful sides of music production and performance. Numusic´s programming intends to create a sonic space that can support continued innovation in new music, whilst casting a glance back at the forerunners and pioneers of new directions in music.
Over the years, the Numusic Festival has presented a considerable number of renowned artists, whilst simultaneously providing an important showcase for up-and-coming talent. Each edition offers a notable array of local, national and even international premieres and commissions.
For this year´s e event, we have initiated collaborative projects with some of Norway´s leading cultural providers, as well as presenting the festival’s broadest program so far.
