First time meeting of two generations of free-improvising sax players from Stavanger’s small but fertile jazz/improv scene. Inge W. Breistein is a young player with a broad register that spans everything from post-bop jazz to austere minimalism. He has played with among others Andreas Backer Trio, Healing Force, Kosmonaut and Egg 3.
Gjerstad, of course, has been the driving force in this scene since the mid-70′s, and has brought a veritable who’s who of both international free-jazzers and local musicians together.
