 Thomas Urv is one of the key players of the norwegian techno scene. He has been djing radioshows and nearly every club, festival and illegal rave in Norway ever since he purchased a pair of Technics 14 years old, more than 20 years ago.
He has promoted countless clubnights and big events around Norway, presenting numerous international techno acts and djing alongside more. Artists like Luke Slater, Jeff Mills, Derrick May, Surgeon, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Paul Woolford, Dj Hell, Dave Clarke, Mathew Jonson, Robert Hood, Tiesto, Slam, Speedy J, Kevin Saunderson, Oliver Ho, Marcel Dettmann, Marco Carola, Radio Slave, Ben Sims, James Ruskin, CJ Bolland, Claude Young… The list goes on to include many of the biggest techno acts that has yet made it up north to little Norway.
He has toured Scandinavia, Finland, Spain, France, The Netherlands, Canada and the UK and is currently busy in the studio, building up material for future releases.
Known for his fast and complex mixing skills. Musically his sets go high and low within new techno, open to the melodic as well as the rythmic, not hesitating to spice it up with the odd techno classic.
2011 will see Thomas producing weekdays and spend his weekends djing or skiing the norwegian mountains, a seasoned lover of the offpist freeriding, a feeling recognized in his sets.
