What happens when someone has a lot of ideas but not much money to put them into practice? The psychedelic redefinition of lo-fi known as Hype Williams. Enigmatic and deliberately elusive, their name was blatantly stolen from a North American video director and their style defies any attempt at traditional classification. It is an impossible puzzle of low quality sounds, twisted rhythms, electronic noise, slices of pop culture and acid humour which against all the odds, has received unceasing acclaim from the specialist critics.
