We Are Monsters started in 2007 after Tony Jacobsen broke up with his former band: Wallpaper Silhouettes.
Tired of the Jazz, New Wave & Post Punk sound he wanted to discover new sounds.
He also moved to the capital of Norway trying to form a band, but the band turned out to be wrong at the time.

Tony Jacobsen moved up to his hometown diving even harder to form the electronic sound he wanted.
He met Magne Hoven also known as Luguber. Together they are We Are Monsters.
