We’ve long been massive fans of Fela Kuti & Afrobeat here at Numusic towers, often dropping rare 12”s during Numusic Soundsystem Dj sets. We were recently offered an amazing opportunity to put together what’s destined to be one the year’s concert highlights. Tony Allen, the man alongside Fela Kuti, and who put the “beat” into “afro” will be touring with his new album this fall. And yes, we’ll be bringing the event to Stavanger.
November is usually a dire month in Stavanger, grey skies, rain and Christmas still weeks & weeks away, what better way to liven up the month than with a full on sun drenched African spectacular !
Tony will be travelling with a full 9 piece band jammed packed with some of the world’s finest players and vocalists. Support will be from Stavanger’s very own Jazzpalace Dj crew with before and after parties planned.
