Erik Spanne aka Drippin is one of the fastest rising talents in the bass music scene. Originally from Stavanger, but now based in Bergen he’s already collaborated with New York rapper Le1f who discovered him on Soundcloud. The DJ, producer and graphic designer has long been a household name for anyone in Bergen with an interest in club music and hip hop. The beats he has created for rappers like A-Laget, Lars Vaular and Yoguttene he has put him in the position as one of the country's most promising producers.

Drippin Started dj’ing at the tender age of 17, and has composed music for the last 2-3 years, inspired by bass heavy club music, hip hop and dancehall. His music has received support from acts like Nguzunguzu, Fatima Al Qadiri, Dubbel Dutch, Bok Bok, Slimzee and many more. This international acclaim has led to shows outside Norway and an upcoming EP" at the New York-based label Lit City Trax. He’s also a part of Ball 'Em Up; an Oslo based club nite run by Slick Shoota, Drippin & DJ Skawr.

Drippin belongs to the increasingly significant wave of young Norwegian electronica producers in the process of building a name for themselves abroad. With seamless transitions he moves between adjacent electronic genres, in a symbiotic interface between heavy, sharp hip hop and cool, bass-driven house. Asymmetric, repetitive rhythms blends with both garage, dancehall and trap-r&b.

Like Cashmere Cat, Slick shoota and Trippy Turtle, he shows significantly greater interest in contemporary club music than music history.

“There aren’t that many Norwegians who listen to my music, mostly Americans. I might be discovered in Norway last» - Those are his own words, and you’ll be making your own discoveries at Numusic.
