Slick Shoota (NO)

Slick Shoota is the most prominent Norwegian producer to come out of the footwork and juke scene. He’s been gaining momentum in the bass music scene with releases on some of the most respected labels around. His mix of juke, footwork & UK inspired bass music has gained support from Radio 1 tastemaker B Traits to Chicago legends DJ Spinn & DJ Rashad.

Early last year he collaborated with vocalist, Purple, on the Mad Decent / Jeffree’s-released “F Dat” single; a lush, melodic approach to the 160pm sound which premiered with an equally memorable video that served as a perfect snapshot of the internet culture’s visual aesthetics.

Slick Shootas prolific output has led to remix duties for top names like Lindstrøm, Kito & Reija Lee, Zebra Katz, and DJ Vadim to name a few.. His "Rà-àkõ-st" remix surprised everybody with its house-leaning approach, it evoked the soul of the '90s with hypnotic minor chord stabs and deep, ravey bass tones.

This year he’s pushed forward with an amazing rework of the classic rave anthem, “Meet Me at the Love Parade”, featured on Long Clothing’s TRANCEWORK compilation, as well as the sleek, understated Keep Bussin’ EP, released through Druid Cloak’s new Apothecary Compositions imprint.

He had his first official release in 2010 and has since then released on Mad Decent, Jeffrees, Apothecary Compositions, Loose Squares,B.YRSLF,Hyperboloid and Kitsunè. He’s one of those artists who’s way bigger abroad than in their own back yard

Numusic hope you’re ready for nuts, high speed, high power bass music with an underground vibe.
